Bitumen resealing works across the Maranoa will commence from 07 April 2025. The program will see sections of sealed (bitumen) roads receive a new coat of bitumen on selected rural and urban roads.
Water has been shut off on McEwan St, Roma between Miscamble and Charles St whilst emergency repairs are being completed.

The weather system responsible for recent widespread rainfall is now moving eastward through the Maranoa, with conditions expected to gradually ease over the weekend.
Due to ongoing works near Calico Cottage in Wallumbilla, the pick-up and drop-off points for Translink services will temporarily be relocated.

Due to the forecast heavy rain, the Mitchell Waste Facility will be closed today, Wednesday 26 March 2025.
The Maranoa Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) is closely monitoring the developing weather system impacting western and inland Queensland.
Council will conduct essential road safety line marking across all Maranoa towns beginning Monday, 31 March.
Several road closures will be in place from 7:30am to 12:30pm next Friday, 4 April to accompany the Mitchell TRYathlon.
