Hazard reduction burn - Amby

Queensland Fire and Rescue and the Rural Fire Service team will be undertaking a planned burn this Saturday, 28 June 2025 in Amby.
The fire mitigation measure will allow an excess fuel load to be burnt off around the perimeters of Amby in preparation for the upcoming summer months.
It is recommended that windows and doors are kept closed during this time and those who may suffer from a respiratory condition should keep their medication close by.
Smoke can decrease visibility on the roads with motorists urged to drive with caution and to conditions.
Maranoa Regional Council will continue to monitor the site post burn with residual smoke expected in the days after.
