Council is committed to providing effective and efficient services at our cemeteries throughout the region. Currently Council administers 16 cemeteries within its boundaries.

Council continues to maintain this cemetery which will be closed to new interments upon the allocation of the remaining available plots located in Rows 111 South and 112 North. Council's resolution is to honour only grave sites that have been previously reserved.

  • Roma Historical (Railway) Cemetery (1863 – 1872)

Local historians Dorothy Brindley and Beryl Giles have done considerable work looking into the preservation and marking of Roma Historical (Railway) Cemetery. Click here for a link to the current historical work booklet. 

In the months to come, it is planned that a commemorative plaque will be placed at the original site of the Cemetery near the Railway Station in Roma.
