New Funding Policies endorsed

Council has adopted two new policies to make applying for funding and support clearer & easier: Community Grants & Events Assistance Policy + Sponsorship Policy.

Here’s a quick guide to what’s available:

• Community Grants: funding to support community projects, upgrades, programs that benefit the Maranoa region. 
• Events Assistance: support to deliver events that bring people together, celebrate our community and attract visitors.  
• Non-Financial Assistance: in-kind support such as equipment loans, fee waivers, or use of Council facilities. 
• Sponsorship Program: for initiatives that promote the Maranoa region, boost tourism, or enhance local opportunities. 
• Regional Arts Development Fund: grants for arts, culture, and heritage projects across the region.
• Community Support Funding: for groups tackling social issues and delivering targeted community services.

These changes mean it’s now simpler to know which program suits your needs whether you’re upgrading a facility, running an event, or delivering a community project.
