The Wallumbilla Library will be temporarily closed from Monday, 8 September to Friday, 12 September 2025.

The Wallumbilla Library will be temporarily closed from Monday, 8 September to Friday, 12 September 2025.

This closure is to allow for the official relocation of the Wallumbilla Library from School of Arts Memorial Hall, Chadford St, Wallumbilla to the new permanent location, The Wheat Shed located on Warrego Highway, Wallumbilla. 

During this temporary closure, staff will be packing, relocating collections and equipment, along with setting up the new space to ensure a smooth transition.

What this means for you:

  • All due dates on Wallumbilla items falling within 8–12 September will be extended.
  • Holds for Wallumbilla pickup will be paused and resume once the new library is open.
  • Digital library services (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and online resources) remain available 24/7 via RLQ.
  • Residents are welcome to visit other Maranoa Libraries during this period.

We look forward to sharing the new library space with you at the opening of The Wheat Shed on Sunday, 14 September 2025. From that date, the library will be open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
