Expression of Interest: Nominated Scalp Collector

Back
Maranoa Regional Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from residents across the region to take on the role of Nominated Scalp Collector under Council’s Wild Dog Scalp Bounty Program.

Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from landholders and residents living on rural properties across the region to take on the volunteer role of Nominated Scalp Collector.

This is under Council’s Wild Dog Scalp Bounty Program.

This volunteer position is a vital part of Council’s biosecurity efforts to manage wild dogs. The role is designed to assist landholders who collect scalps by reducing the need for them to travel long distances to drop them off at Council-owned depots. Nominated Scalp Collectors are responsible for receiving, verifying, and certifying scalp claims submitted by eligible landholders.

To ensure accessibility for property owners, we are particularly encouraging nominations from individuals based outside townships:

  • Wallumbilla
  • Yuleba
  • Jackson
  • Dunkeld
  • Begonia
  • Muckadilla

EOIs must be submitted by 5:00pm, Friday 29 August 2025 - the form is provided down below.

An Expression of Interest form may be submitted:
•    In person: to any Council Administration Centre
•    By post: Attention Annie Connolly, Maranoa Regional Council, PO Box 620, Roma QLD 4455
