As school bells ring in the summer break, Maranoa Regional Council is delighted to present its school holiday program which will run from Friday 1 December 2023 to Friday 26 January 2024.

This year’s program features events and activities across the region, including everything from cooling down in local pools, enjoying movie screenings under the stars, to unleashing your inner artist.

Events include:

Maranoa Christmas Street Party – Thursday 7 December - The festive season kicks off with the Maranoa Christmas Street Party. Join us on Thursday 7 December for Santa's grand arrival, the official lighting of the tree, vibrant markets, mouthwatering food stalls, and a lineup of captivating entertainment for the entire family.
Movie Night at Western Queensland Spirit – Friday 15 December - Embrace the holiday spirit with a special screening of 'The Grinch' at Western Queensland Spirit on Friday 15 December. Feed the entire family with a BBQ dinner provided by the Rotary Club of Roma, hosted by Western Queensland Spirit.
Slip 'n Slide Fun at the Pump Track – Saturday 16 December - Dive into summer at the newly constructed Pump Track in Roma, featuring giant water slides and a day of fun and excitement for all ages.
Regional Drive-in Movie Screening – Starting Monday 15 January - Escape the ordinary and join us for a magical evening of cinematic fun at the drive-in movies being hosted across the region in January. Bring your family and friends for an outdoor movie experience under the stars.
Paint 'n Sip Extravaganza – Thursday 18 January - Unleash your creativity during these holidays by joining us for a paint 'n sip extravaganza for kids and families, where artistic expression meets festive cheer.

This year’s holiday program offers a diverse range of activities that cater to the interests of our community. "These activities provide school holiday fun for the children and families of the Maranoa,” said Cr. Golder.
