Maranoa Regional Council partners with the Roma Filipino community to celebrate Philippine Independence Day (Araw ng Kasarinlán)

Maranoa Regional Council is partnering with Roma Filipino Community Incorporated to deliver the Roma Filipino Gala and Recognition Night on Saturday, 24 June at 5.30pm till late.

The gala will take place at the Roma Cultural Centre and is in celebration of the 125th Philippine Independence Day.

The evening will include delicious traditional Filipino food, cultural dancing, a parade of Philippine national costumes and an awards ceremony to recognise the contribution of the Filipino community to the Maranoa region.

Mayor Tyson Golder said it was a great opportunity to celebrate the Filipino culture and its valuable contributions to the Maranoa region.

“Council is proud to partner with the Roma Filipino community to celebrate this significant milestone in their community. The Roma Filipino community has made great contributions to the Maranoa region, and this gala event will be a great night for all to enjoy. I hope to see everyone there. Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan (Happy Independence Day)!” said Cr Golder.

The Roma Filipino Gala and Recognition Night is a free community event, and everyone is invited to attend. Tickets are free, but bookings are required for catering purposes. Tickets can be booked by contacting Romeo Cruz on 0400 827 766. Check out the flyer here
