Roma Golf Club to host Opera Queensland’s production ‘Lady Sings the Maroons’ in partnership with Maranoa Regional Council

Maranoa Regional Council is delighted to accept the Expression of Interest received from the Roma Golf Club to host Opera Queensland’s latest production, ‘Lady Sings the Maroons’.

For the past several years Opera Queensland has been bringing the joy of opera to all Queenslanders through their regional touring program. This year, Council has successfully secured Opera Queensland’s ‘Lady Sings the Maroons’, to be presented in the Roma Cultural Centre on Saturday, 3 June 2023.

As the successful applicant, Roma Golf Club will be managing the event, including ticketing and venue preparation. The club will benefit financially with profits from ticket sales, as well as the sale of additional food and drinks/bar on the night.

Mayor Tyson Golder was happy to see the Roma Golf Club partner with Council on this spectacular event.

“I am pleased to announce that the Roma Golf Club have accepted to host this event in partnership with Maranoa Regional Council. It is fantastic to have Opera Queensland in the Maranoa region once again. It will be a great night for everyone to enjoy and at the same time will allow the Roma Golf Club raise funds for their club’s endeavours,” said Cr Golder.
