Maranoa Regional Council is seeking community input to assist in refining the concept design for Roma’s Denise Spencer Pool Redevelopment Project.

Council is asking community members to provide examples of great aquatic facilities, and/or an element (within a facility) that Council and its architects can research and consider as part of the project.

Maranoa Regional Council Mayor Tyson Golder said he is pleased to see the consultation getting underway and looks forward to seeing the opportunities this redevelopment will create for the Maranoa region.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to let Council know about their favourite pools they have seen around Australia. Facilities such as the Denise Spencer Pool need attention to ensure they are safe and suitable to our residents,” Cr Golder said.

“I look forward to seeing the redevelopment of this pool and the benefits it will produce for our community.”

The design of the Roma Pool Redevelopment Project has been funded by Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) operated by Origin Energy.

The opportunity to have your say is now open and will close on Monday 18 May 2023.
