A new Pump Track for the region has taken a major step toward becoming a reality.

At the final Maranoa Regional Council Meeting in 2022, World Trail was selected as the construction contractor to deliver the project on the site opposite the old Hospital in Roma.

Council is now in the process of finalising the design and contract award, with construction scheduled to commence on site in late March/early April. Weather permitting, project works are anticipated to be completed over a 3 – 4 month construction window, with the project scheduled for opening in mid-2023.

Mayor Tyson Golder said the news was the culmination of many people coming together with the vision to help transform the site into something the community will be able to enjoy and be proud of.

“Council is looking forward to partnering with World Trail on this exciting project. World Trail have a wealth of experience in the design, planning and construction of pump tracks, having delivered hundreds of projects in over 20 countries. The finished Pump Track will be a great asset to the Maranoa region,” said Cr Golder.
