Kerb and channel repairs - Hawthorne Street

Maranoa Regional Council would like to advise residents and business owners that kerb and channel repair works are due to commence on Hawthorne Street, Roma in the first week of January.

The works, which are scheduled to take approximately 2 weeks, will see repairs completed to several small sections of existing kerb and channel on the western side of Hawthorne Street between Bowen Street and McDowall Street. These works are being completed ahead of the asphalt programme due to commence in the second quarter of 2023.

To accommodate these works, there will be isolated sections of footpath and parking bays closed on the western side of Hawthorne Street. Temporary signage and barricading will be in place to safely assist motorists and pedestrians through the worksite.

Council will be in contact with residents adjacent to the worksite and work closely with them to minimise impacts of the works.
