New Mitchell town reservoir now in operation

Council would like to advise Mitchell residents that the new Mitchell town reservoir on the Southern side of town has now been repaired.

The site was damaged by lightening during a storm last year.

The reservoir, bore and Chlorine dosing plant is now in operation. Residents may have noticed a slight change in taste and temperature of the water, as well as some temporary discolouration.

Please note, the water remains safe to consume. Taps will run clear after a short period of time.
