APLNG Liveability Grants Announced!
In partnership with Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) operated by Origin Energy, Maranoa Regional Council has announced a new grant program with the aim of improving liveability in the Maranoa.
Council and APLNG are committed to improving liveability by making the Maranoa a better place to live, work and play. The APLNG Liveability Grants will support projects, activities and events that enrich the life of residents within the Maranoa region.
Applications will be open to not-for-profit organisations and groups within the Maranoa. There will be two rounds per financial year in 2022/23 and 2023/24.
Applicants can apply for grants up to $25,000. Requested funding amounts under $10,000 require no co-contribution while amounts between $10,001 - $25,000 require a 20% cash or in-kind co-contribution.
Mayor Tyson Golder said APLNG Liveability Grants give Maranoa community groups a helping hand for their projects.
“These grants provide groups with a great opportunity to enhance economic development, natural resource stewardship and regional growth and liveability in our region” Cr Golder said.
Aleta Nicoll, Origin’s General Manager Asset West, said Origin is pleased to support the APLNG Liveability Grants as part of Origin’s commitment to help local communities thrive.

We look forward to seeing the opportunities for participation, skills development, volunteering and social, cultural, economic and environmental development that these grants will support,” Ms Nicoll said.

This application period is open from Tuesday, 4 October to Friday, 11 November 2022. This is the first round of the 2022/23 year.
