National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - Facility Closures

With the recent announcement that Australia will mark the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a public holiday this Thursday, 22 September 2022 as a National Day of Mourning.

A number of Council facilities will be closed during this time. Please see closures listed below for your local area.

Injune Closures

  • Injune Customer Service and Library

Injune Visitor Information centre will remain open.

Yuleba Closures

  • Yuleba Post office
  • Jackson and Wallumbilla Libraries
  • Yuleba Service Centre

Roadside bin collection will operate as normal and Yuleba, Wallumbilla and Jackson waste facilities will remain open.

Mitchell Closures

  • Customer Service Centres 
  • Libraries

Roadside bin collection will operate as normal and waste facilities will remain open.

Surat Closures

  • Warroo Customer Service Centre and Library
  • QGAP

Reduced hours for the Cobb and Co museum and gallery.

Roma Closures

  • Roma Customer Service Centre
  • Roma Library

The Big Rig will be open 9am-5pm then night show 6.30pm-7.30pm. The Denise Spencer Memorial Pool will remain open between 5am – 8am and 10am – 5.30pm.
