Community grants

Thirteen community groups have received a share in more than $76,000 as part of the first round of Maranoa Regional Council’s Grants Funding Program for 2021/22.

Mayor Tyson Golder congratulates all the successful community groups in this round of Community Grants!

“These community grants help create new opportunities within our communities and offer local groups a helping hand for their events, upgrades and new projects,” Cr Golder said.

“Grants such as these are important in providing support to community groups as well as opening the door to exciting opportunities and growth within our region. I look forward to seeing the outcome from these grants and the benefit they have in our community.”

Senex Energy has partnered with Maranoa Regional Council for three years providing around $45,000 to local organisations through the joint Small Community Grants program.

Senex Community Relations Manager Trevor Robertson said Senex was proud to support the grants program and had seen over the years how the funding helped clubs, organisations and local associations improve facilities and host events.
