Council's decision making is shaped and improved through regular two-way communication with the community that elected members represent.
Community meetings and other engagement activities are undertaken to provide the opportunity for the community to provide feedback on matters important to you.
Outside of these formal opportunities, residents can lodge a customer request here.
Councillor Catch-ups
Councillors are getting out and about across the region to meet with residents about the budget as part of their commitment to listen and report back to the Maranoa.
These sessions provide an opportunity to meet with Councillors face-to-face in your local area to informally chat about what’s important to you and to ask questions about what Council is doing in your town and the broader region.

In September 2024 Councillors caught up with the residents to discuss the budget and answer questions about the decisions outlined in the 2024/25 Budget around rates.
Across 7 days, Councillors travelled over 1400 kilometres visiting 16 Communities. In total, more than 24 hours was spent discussing budget and answering resident questions.
