Each year Council joins with our community to share the spirit of Christmas with a variety of celebrations.

Annual highlights include:

  • Maranoa Christmas Street Party: An iconic event on the local calendar, it's an evening full of food, fun, shopping, and festive entertainment including the official lighting of the Christmas Tree lights.
  • Shop Local campaign: This regional initiative encourages residents to 'Shop Local' this festive season with massive prize giveaways.
  • Annual luncheon: Whether you are spending Christmas alone or would like to share a festive meal with others, come along for a time of cheer and community spirit.
  • Christmas-themed School Holiday programs: Happpening right across the Maranoa, Council has you covered for holiday-excitement with a range of fun activities.
