The 2025 Christmas Luncheon will be held at the Roma Clay Target Club from 11:00am on Friday, 19 December 2025. RSVP is essential, call Council on 1300 007 662 by Monday, 15 December 2025 to secure your spot.

This regional initiative encourages residents to 'Shop Local' this festive season with massive prize giveaways.

By spending $10 or more at participating retailer, residents can go in the draw to win the following prizes:

• $2000 Mitre 10 Voucher
• $2000 Betta Voucher
• $2000 Home Timber and Hardware Voucher
• 2-night stay at Wallaroo Outback Retreat and Lost World - Carnarvons guided tour for two from Boobook Explore 

The Shop Local winners will be drawn Friday December 19 at the Christmas Tree, McDowell Street, Roma.

‘Tis the season to be jolly as Council begins accepting donations from Monday, 24 November 2025 until Monday, 08 December 2025 to go toward the annual Maranoa Regional Council Christmas Hamper Appeal.

Mark your calendars Maranoa for the holly-jolly return of the Maranoa Christmas Street Party to be held on Thursday, 4 December 2025.

To be held along McDowall Street from 5:00pm to 8:30pm, this is an unforgettable night you don’t want to miss.

An iconic event on the local calendar, it's an evening full of food, fun, shopping, and festive entertainment including the official lighting of the Christmas Tree lights.

Stallholders Applications Open:

Council is seeking an array of different market stalls, food trucks and food vendors, community displays and activities to make this year's event bigger, more festive, and better than ever.

It is free to apply. If you would like to hold a market or food stall, run a fundraising activity, or showcase your community organisation, please complete the online form below, if you wish to fill out a paper form, please contact Council's Local Development Officers team by calling 1300 007 662 or by emailing: LDO@maranoa.qld.gov.au.

Are you feeling alone or facing challenges this holiday season? You’re not alone. Come along to our Community Kitchens Christmas Dinner - a warm and welcoming evening to connect, share laughter, and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas.

There will be live music, games and activities for all ages.
