Cemeteries
Council is committed to providing effective and efficient services at our cemeteries throughout the region. Currently Council administers 10 operational cemeteries and 7 historical cemeteries within its boundaries.

Maranoa Cemeteries Master Plan
Council has adopted a Maranoa Cemeteries Master Plan to guide the future management, use and development of our cemeteries.
Council recognises that cemeteries are important places of remembrance, reflection and local history.
The Master Plan will help ensure cemetery services and spaces continue to meet community needs into the future.
It will consider burial capacity, maintenance, accessibility, heritage, cultural values, environmental factors and opportunities for improvement.
The Master Plan will also help balance operational needs with community expectations and the respectful care of these significant spaces.
