Maranoa Regional Council is excited to soon welcome the next generation into the Chambers through the new Maranoa Regional Youth Council.

The establishment of the Youth Council is driven by Maranoa Regional Council’s desire to ensure that the younger members of our community are represented – and who better to lead that than the youth themselves.

Providing them with insight into the inner workings of Council, as well as a platform to share their views and aspirations, the Maranoa Regional Youth Council will be open to young people aged between 12-18 years who reside within the Maranoa.

Expressions of Interest will open on Monday, 31 August 2026 and close on Friday, 16 October 2026.
