Join us for the opening of Wangarra Mandana (One Mob), a moving exhibition by local artist Ashley Mitchell, celebrating the stories, culture, and enduring connections of Gunggari Country.
Inspired by the knowledge and memories shared by Elders, particularly Aunty Irene and Nana Nixon, this collection of contemporary Aboriginal artworks brings together stories of family, the Maranoa River, and the wisdom passed down through generations. Through painting on canvas and wood, Ashley honours the strength of culture, connection to Country, and the ties that bind community together.
