Maranoa school holiday program set to entertain local youth

Maranoa Regional Council is hosting its holiday program filled with a range of fun-filled activities this summer.

The Maranoa School Holiday Program will run throughout December 2022 and finish before school resumes at the end of January 2023. The program will offer a variety of events and activities to help keep our local youth entertained, active and engaged across the region.

Highlights from the holiday program include:

• Family drive-ins across the region! Bring your car or picnic blanket, grab some popcorn and enjoy a movie!
• Legendary artist Sue Hamlet teen art workshops
• Release your energy with laser skirmish all around the region!
• First 5 Forever programs across the region’s libraries
• Get crafty & create Christmas ornaments and more!
• Splish & splash in the region’s pools this summer
• Great Artesian Spa fun activities!

Mayor Tyson Golder said the Maranoa School Holiday Program is a great way to keep younger residents entertained, active and engaged over the school break.

“There’s a great range of events and activities on offer for our local youth this summer” Mayor Golder said. “With so many opportunities to learn something new, socialise with friends and meet new mates, I encourage all of our young people to get involved”.
