Maranoa Regional Council advises residents that bin collection days will change in Surat and parts of Roma.
From Monday, 28 September 2026, a new collection schedule will be introduced across these areas, as outlined in the map below. Residents are encouraged to check the maps provided to confirm their bin collection day.
The changes follow a trial undertaken by Council’s service provider, JJ Richards, and are designed to improve service efficiency through revised collection zones and routes.
To ensure bins are collected, residents are reminded to place their bins out by 5.00am on their scheduled collection day. Bins not presented by this time may not be collected.
Council’s Waste Team is available to assist with any questions or concerns about the changes. Residents can contact the team on 1300 007 662 or via email at council@maranoa.qld.gov.au.
This change forms part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving waste management services across the region.
