Maranoa residents and producers are reminded to be on the lookout for Fire Ants.
Fire Ants are a significant pest and have the potential to cause serious social, economic and environmental impacts. Early detection is critical to protecting our region.
While there are no confirmed Fire Ant sites within Maranoa, please be vigilant and report any suspected cases to the National Fire Ant Eradication Program on 13 22 68, or on the National Fire Ant Eradication Program website: www.fireants.org.au
