All residents in Amby are advised that tap water used for drinking is now safe to consume.
This notice applies to all residents in Amby from 3/10/25.
There is no longer a public health concern over the quality of drinking water, and it is now considered safe for all typical uses including drinking, preparing food and beverages, personal washing, dishwashing, laundry purposes and flushing toilets.
Maranoa Regional Council has worked closely with Queensland Health over the last week to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Mains flushing and adjustment of the Chlorine dosing equipment has been undertaken to protect the safety of the drinking water.
Council will continue to closely monitor the situation.
Residents should flush out affected water from the pipes in their home.
Residents are asked to share this notice with neighbours and friends.
