Great news - the School Holiday Program is back!

These summer school holidays are set to be action packed from December through till January, with Maranoa Regional Council thrilled to announce a school holiday program with something for everyone.

Spanning across the regional centres in the Maranoa, the youngest of our residents will be occupied all summer long, with activities ranging from arts and crafts, through to pool days, movies nights and even cooking classes.

Spokesperson for Economic Development and Events Councillor Johanne Hancock looks forward to seeing what Maranoa’s school kids get up to this summer season.

“The program is stacked with fun activities to keep our kids entertained these school holidays,” Cr Hancock said.

“Whether it’s some fun in the sun or some creativity indoors, we encourage our local families to check out what is on offer and get along to these great holiday activities.”

Program highlights:

• Lights, camera action! - These school holidays let your child’s imagination come to life at the Outback Film Clubs Movie making workshop. 
• Inflatables Afternoons at Injune Pool - Blow up your inflatable and get ready to float, splash, and chill.
• Design, Decorate and Dazzle - Wanting a new mug for you or your parents this Christmas? Come along and create your own mugs. OR - bag edition! Be your own fashion designer by creating your own designs for tote bags.
• Board Games and Puzzles - Bring your competitiveness down to the library, enjoy the cool of the aircon and get involved in games and puzzle fun.
• Cooking classes - Do you love food, fun, and getting creative in the kitchen? Come and learn how to cook delicious recipes, make new friends, and become a kitchen superstar!
• Create your own Tic Tac Toe - From Craft Table to Games Table.
• Make your own Solar Powered Car - Turn Sunshine into motion!
• Starry Night Outdoor Movie Night - Grab your blankets and chairs for a wonderful evening where the cinema meets the open sky, fresh air and good vibes.
