Hazard reduction burn: Injune

Queensland Fire Department will be undertaking a planned burn this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 25-26 April 2026 in Injune.

The fire mitigation measure will allow an excess fuel load to be burnt off around the Council Reserve from the Injune Taroom Road through the back of the Rodeo Grounds.

It is recommended that windows and doors are kept closed during this time and those who may suffer from a respiratory condition should keep their medication close by.

Smoke can decrease visibility on the roads with motorists urged to drive with caution and to conditions.

Maranoa Regional Council will continue to monitor the site post burn with residual smoke expected in the days after.
