Rates notices issued

Maranoa residents should check their mailboxes for rate notices issued on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, covering the period from 1 January 2026 to 30 June 2026. 

If not received by 2 March, contact Council promptly. A 5% discount on general rates applies if all rates, charges, and arrears are paid in full by Friday, 20 March 2026.

Residents can register for email delivery of rate notices by completing the ‘Request to Receive Rates Notices Electronically’ form online.

Allow for potential delays when paying electronically or by mail to avoid missing the discount. Those facing financial hardship can apply to Council for a payment arrangement to pay in instalments.

For ease and convenience, the following payment methods are available:

  • In person – cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard at any Maranoa Regional Council Customer Service Centre
  • In person – at any Australia Post office
  • Online via BPay
  • Online via Council’s secure payment portal using your credit card. Visit www.maranoa.qld.gov.au and click the ‘Make a Payment’ tab
