It was a morning of recognition and gratitude last Saturday, 20 September as the Queensland Fire Department awarded Council with a Certificate of Appreciation.
At the recognition service held at the Roma Queensland Fire Station, the Queensland Fire Department thanked Council for their support.
Council supported two training programs for our local and auxiliary firefighting personnel to advance their skills.
The training addresses emerging risks, ensuring the Queensland Fire Department continues to provide contemporary fire and rescue services to the community.
This will help them to continue to meet community expectations and ultimately ensure they can provide Maranoa crews with training required to be the best firefighters they can be for their respective communities.
