Home and Community Care (HACC)
Home and Community Care provides services which support people who are frail aged, younger people with disability and their carers, who live at home and whose capacity for independent living is at risk or who are at risk of premature or inappropriate admission to long term residential care.
|Home maintenance: is general repair and care of a client's house or yard (for example, changing light bulbs, fixing door locks).||Maranoa Region|

|Domestic assistance: household jobs like cleaning, clothes washing and ironing.||Surat, Wallumbilla, Yuleba, Jackson|
|Social support: gives clients a hand by taking them shopping, banking or to appointments, or just providing company for a chat.||Surat|
|Centre-based day respite: culturally appropriate care, company and group activities in the centre, and short trips away from the centre.||Surat, Mitchell|
|Nursing Care: provided in your home by a qualified nurse (eg. wound dressing, continence advice).||Surat, Wallumbilla, Yuleba, Jackson|
|Community Aged Care Packages: are planned and coordinated packages of care targeted to those older people living at home who require assistance with a variety of complex care needs.||Surat, Wallumbilla, Yuleba, Jackson|
|Meal Services: if it is hard for you to prepare meals, these services may include, providing meals at a community centre or day centre, helping with shopping for food, preparing and storing it or delivering meals to your home.||Wallumbilla, Yuleba, Jackson|
|Personal Care: includes help with bathing or showering, dressing, hair care and toileting||Wallumbilla, Yuleba, Jackson|
|Respite Care: this service gives carers a break while a respite worker looks after the person needing care. The person being cared for can receive respite care in their home or in a day respite centre. In most cases respite care is planned ahead, but it may be provided as an emergency service.||Wallumbilla|
