Regional Placemaking Project Regional Placemaking Project

Endorsed by Council on 14 December 2011, the Regional Placemaking Plans are intended as aspirational long term strategic plans to guide the future direction for public infrastructure enhancement, replacement and development for townships within the Maranoa region.

The development of regional placemaking plans is identified as a priority in the Maranoa Community Plan 2020 – Pathways to our Future. The project was undertaken through a rigorous process of community engagement, consultation and validation and resulted in the below listed plans which provide an excellent blueprint for the future development of Maranoa communities.

The Maranoa Regional Placemaking Project was proudly funded by Maranoa Regional Council and the Queensland Government’s Building Rural Communities Program through Blueprint for the Bush.
