Council operates a number of refuse (landfill) sites throughout the Maranoa region. Most of these sites are for the disposal of domestic waste only. The Roma refuse facility accepts domestic, commercial and industrial, and construction and demolition waste.
Disposal of waste other than domestic waste at the remaining refuse facilities throughout the region is accepted by prior approval only - please contact Council's Environmental Health and Waste team should you require this service.

Transfer Stations
Council also operates several waste transfer stations throughout the region for rural residents. These sites are unmanned and contain skip bins for the disposal of domestic waste. Commercial and industrial or construction and demolition waste is accepted by prior approval only - please contact Council's Waste team should you require this service.
