Arts Ablaze Conference - Applications extended until next week

Maranoa Regional Council together with South West Queensland Regional Arts are providing five x $400 grants for volunteers within the Maranoa community to attend the 2019 Arts Ablaze Conference at the Ramada Resort Kooralbyn Valley from Wednesday, 2 October 2019 to Friday, 4 October 2019.

Arts Ablaze is a conference focused on the transformation of regional communities and arts practice through attitudes, access, people and places.

The conference will highlight: First Nation projects and perspectives, panel discussions and forums, PechaKucha sessions from Regional Arts Projects across Queensland, funding options, what our major art organisations can offer the regions, exhibitions, site activations, conference cocktail function, conference Arts Dinner, facilitated networking events and much more.

Local groups are encouraged to nominate one of their members to receive the bursary, which is being funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) program.

The group executive will need to fill in an application form and submit to the Local Development Officer – Roma by 5pm on Monday, 8 July 2019. Early Bird registration for the 2019 Arts Ablaze Conference are now open and are available until Thursday, 11 July 2019.
