Stage 2 and 3 delivered 238m of new PVC fencing along Lewis Street South to the Newbon Street intersection with works completed by local contractor WAH Construction.
Councillor Geoff McMullen, Portfolio Chair for Towns and Surrounds said thanks to the Queensland Government, Council were able to complete the last two stages of the Roma Cemetery fencing.
"As a Council, we are very excited to be able to provide these upgrades to the community," Cr McMullen said.
"The Roma Cemetery is a place where we can visit and remember our loved ones. These improvements aim to pay tribute to those that rest at the cemetery.
"The new fences require very little maintenance and will last for many more years to come."
Stage 3 is an initiative of the Queensland Government through the $600 million Works for Queensland Program.
Stage 2 is fully funding by Maranoa Regional Council.
