Council to take advantage of wet weather to grade unsealed urban fringe roads
On the back of the much welcomed rainfall, Council is taking advantage of the favourable conditions to undertake formation grading of a selection of the unsealed urban fringe roads in the coming week.
Grading these roads after rainfall helps reduce the need for construction water, limits the dust impacts generated by the works for adjacent residents and helps prolong the condition of the road.
Councillor Geoff McMullen, Portfolio Chair for Towns and Surrounds said Council teams have been proactive in delivering these works by taking advantage of the welcomed rainfall and hopes the rain will continue to allow works to carry on.
"Residents and motorists can expect to see increased activity on a number of the unsealed roads around Roma in the coming week," Cr McMullen said.
To ensure the safety of the public and the workers, Council asks that you follow the temporary signage in place and thanks you for your cooperation and patience while these works are completed.
