The program, which is planned to start in Roma on Monday, 28 October 2019, will see sections on approximately 30 town streets receive a new coat of bitumen.
Councillor Geoff McMullen, Portfolio Chair for Towns and Surrounds, said bitumen resealing is a critical step in maintaining Council's current bitumen road network.
"The process reduces the maintenance costs of these roads and extends their overall life," Cr McMullen said.
Work will be planned to keep disruptions on roads to a minimum during this period, however residents can expect short delays when sections of road are reduced to one lane or when detours of the worksite are in place.
Traffic management will be in place for the safety of both the workers and road users. Council asks that you please follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs during this period.
For urban works, letterbox drops will be completed in advance to advise those residents where bitumen sealing works will occur.
Council appreciates residents' patience while the works are underway.
