Residents are invited to attend a ‘Panadol for Grant Writing’ workshop being hosted by Maranoa Regional Council throughout the region during November. Mark McDevitt, Council’s Community Development Coordinator for Yuleba/Wallumbilla/Injune will be conducting the workshops.
The workshops are for anyone interested in learning about applying for grants and is designed to help ‘take the headache’ out of the application process. Topics that will be covered include:
• The six steps in planning your project
• How to identify project partners
• Gathering support for your project
• How do I determine if a grant is suitable for my project
• What needs to be included in the application
• The Do’s and Don’ts of applications
• What is expected when you receive your grant
• Understanding the language – What does it all mean
Workshop details are:
Yuleba/Wallumbilla – Saturday 14 November
2 – 4pm at the RTC Building (behind post office) Creek Street, Yuleba
Surat – Tuesday 17 November
6 – 8pm at the Supper Room, Surat
Injune – Thursday 19 November
5.30 – 7.30pm at the RSL meeting room, Injune Memorial Hall
Mitchell – Tuesday 24 November
5.30 – 7.30pm at the Shire Hall, Mitchell
Roma – Saturday 28 November
2 – 4pm at the Ernest Brock Function Room, Cultural Centre, Roma
Cost - $10.00 per person (includes light refreshments and information folder)
Bookings – To book your place for any session, please register and pre-pay at Councils Customer Service Centres no later than 3 days before each workshop.
The workshops will be of particular benefit to community groups, not for profit, charities, P&C’s and sporting groups.
