Council thanks Roma residents for their reduced water usage
Council would like to thank the Roma community for their assistance over the past week in reducing their water usage. Demand is still high due to the ongoing hot dry conditions. Residents are therefore asked to use water conservatively.
Yesterday, the required parts for Bore 17 (one of Roma’s largest bores) arrived and were installed and the bore is now up and running. The pump and motor at Bore 12 (a significant bore) is currently experiencing a fault and will only be used as required.
Council has prioritised fixing these larger bores in order to keep up with demand for water in Roma.
Council will now commence works on the smaller bores and is waiting on tests before these bores are brought back online into the network.
Council would like to thank residents again for their cooperation while these repairs have been underway.
