(Making of Local Law) Website Notice (No. 1) 2018

Title

  1. This notice may be cited as Maranoa Regional Council (Making of Local Law) Website Notice (No. 1) 2018.

Making of local law

  1. Maranoa Regional Council (the “Council”) has, by resolution dated 12th December 2018, made Local Law No. 8 (Waste Management) 2018 (the “local law”).

Purpose and general effect

  1. The purpose and general effect of the local law is to protect the public health, safety and amenity related to waste management by—
    1. regulating the storage, servicing and removal of waste; and
    2. regulating the disposal of waste at waste facilities; and
    3. ensuring that an act or omission does not result in—

(i)            harm to human health or safety or personal injury; or

(ii)           property damage or loss of amenity; or

(iii)          environmental harm or environmental nuisance

Anti-competitive provision

  1. The local law contains anti-competitive provisions.

Inspection

  1. Copies of the local law may be—
    1. inspected and purchased at Council’s public office and viewed by the public on the website of Council; and
    2. viewed by the public on the website of the Department of Local Government.

Title

  1. This notice may be cited as Maranoa Regional Council (Making of Local Law) Website Notice (No. 2) 2018.

Making of subordinate local law

  1. Maranoa Regional Council (the “Council”) has, by resolution dated the 12th day of December 2018, made—
    1. Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018.

Subordinate local law amended

  1. The subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 amend current subordinate local laws of Council as follows—
    1. Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018 amends Subordinate Local Law No.  2 (Animal Management) 2011.

Authorising local law

  1. The authorising local laws for the subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 are as follows—
    1. Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 authorises the making of Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018.

Purpose and general effect

  1. The purpose and general effect of the subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 is as follows—
    1. Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018 prescribes minimum standards about animal noise nuisance and dog registration.

Inspection

  1. Copies of the subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 may be—
    1. inspected and purchased at Council’s public office and viewed by the public on the website of Council; and
    2. viewed by the public on the website of the Department of Local Government.

  1. Maranoa Regional Council (the “Council”) has, by resolution dated the 12th day of December 2018, made—
    1. Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018.

Subordinate local law amended

  1. The subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 amend current subordinate local laws of Council as follows—
    1. Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018 amends Subordinate Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011.  

Authorising local law

  1. The authorising local laws for the subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 are as follows—
    1. Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011 authorises the making of Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018.

Purpose and general effect

  1. The purpose and general effect of the subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 is as follows—
    1. Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2018 identifies an off‑street regulated parking area at an aerodrome operated by Council in its local government area. 

Inspection

  1. Copies of the subordinate local laws referred to in paragraph 2 may be—
    1. inspected and purchased at Council’s public office and viewed by the public on the website of Council; and
    2. viewed by the public on the website of the Department of Local Government.
