Grant information session on Wednesday, 13 February 2019

Maranoa Regional Council will be hosting a grant information session Wednesday, 13 February 2019 regarding funding opportunities available in the region. The session will be held at the Ernest Brock Room, Roma Cultural Centre, Cnr Bungil & Quintin St from 5.30pm-6.30pm.

This is an opportunity to hear from funding organisations, and ask questions about their programs.

A representative from the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation will present information on Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grants, inclduing:

•      Overview of the fund

•      Funding Guidelines

•      Registering your organisation

•      Submitting an application

•      Managing your approved application

Council will be discussing new developments for Community Grants and Regional Arts Development Fund Grants and there will be funding updates from Senex, Santos and Origin. 

Councillor Cameron O’Neil, Portfolio Chair for Economic Development said Council recognises that community groups make a valuable contribution to the social, sporting and cultural life of our region.

“Our funding programs, the Regional Arts Development Fund and the Community Grants program, support many diverse and exciting projects each year, including the purchase of equipment, infrastructure, and training programs,” Cr O’Neil said.

“Funded community events are an important part of our calendars, and we have been pleased to be able to support field days, regional and state sporting carnivals, and artists workshops which also attract visitors to the region.”
