Container Refund Scheme coming to the Maranoa
Maranoa Regional Council is pleased to announce it has signed a contract to be a Container Refund Point, which is set to kick off in the coming weeks.
Councillor Geoff McMullen, Portfolio Chair for Waste said that Council is very excited to be able to offer this program to Maranoa residents.
“Within the next 10 days a representative from Container for Change will be coming to the Maranoa to train our staff. Council’s plan is for residents to have a point of delivery to enable them to drop off their containers in two weeks,” Cr McMullen said.
“We would like to remind residents that they need to register and receive their unique client number on the Container Refund Scheme website to be able to receive the refund.
“There will be two drop off points in the Maranoa, one in Roma and the other in Mitchell. More information regarding drop off times and locations will be given in the coming weeks.”
