Council has received funding from the Queensland Government’s Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services to provide support to those Maranoa residents doing it tough due to the drought.
Part of this funding is for Flexible Financial Hardship Support, which includes assistance of up to $250 per family/household to eligible applicants.
Residents are encouraged to apply to Council by submitting the form and providing supporting documentation as required.
Two options are available to those seeking support:
Option 1: $250 in vouchers to be used at selected stores in the Maranoa region
Option 2: Financial assistance up to $250 with a specific bill/account (bill to be provided with application).
To be eligible you must reside in the Maranoa Regional Council area (proof of residency must be provided) and be drought declared.
