Council facilitates a number of regular programs aimed at parents and children within the region.

Maranoa Parenting Van

Maranoa Parenting Van is a free mobile parenting facility available for hire at community events across the Maranoa region.

The purpose built van provides a clean and safe environment for parents to feed and change young children while attending community events.

Features of the facility include:

  • a breastfeeding lounge
  • infant food preparation area
  • unisex toilet
  • baby change facility
  • cold drinking water

New Parent Cafe

New Parent Cafe is for parents with babies under 12 months who want to:

  • Relax with a coffee and chat with other parents
  • Meet other new parents
  • Share ideas and experiences
  • Access relevant parent information

New Parent Cafe occurs every Tuesday from 9am to 11am at the Cafe Library Lounge in the Roma Community Arts Centre.
