Maranoa Regional Council Officers Agreement 2009
Maranoa Regional Council is required by the Industrial Relations Act 1999 (Queensland) to conduct a ballot of all employees who will be subject to the new agreement. The purpose of the ballot is to determine that a valid majority of employees, whose employment is subject to the agreement, genuinely approve the agreement.
On Monday 17th July, the Australian Election Company, with representatives from Maranoa Regional Council and the Queensland Services Union in attendance, counted the ballot held for the proposed new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement known as the Maranoa Regional Council Officers Agreement 2009.
A total of 125 votes were cast with 98 votes (78.4%) in favour of the Agreement and 26 votes (20.8%) not in favour of the Agreement. There was 1 informal vote cast.
