Roma Neighbourhood Centre

The Roma Neighbourhood Centre has been operating since 1980.  In a unique response to a community need at that time the Maranoa Regional Council gladly agreed to be the auspicing body for the organisation.  The Roma Neighbourhood Centre programs are State & Federally funded with Council managing monies and providing administration support on our behalf.  Today the Centre employs over 35 people who operate out of the Roma Neighbourhood Centre, St George and Charleville.  The Centre provides services which cover much of South West Queensland.

Clearly the growth that has occurred has been in response to community need and the Roma Neighbourhood Centre has always encompassed principles guided by community development and participation.  The Centre is well represented by community members and operates with the following Mission Statement:

“The purpose of the Centre is to provide a range of support services that will enhance individual, family and community development towards optimum independence and cohesiveness”.

  • Tuesday   8:20am - 5:00pm
  • Wednesday   8:20am - 5:00pm
  • Thursday   8:20am - 5:00pm
  • Friday   8:20am - 5:00pm
  • Saturday   CLOSED
  • Sunday   CLOSED
  • Public Holidays   CLOSED

 

The Roma Neighbourhood Centre is closed over the Christmas / New Year break.
